I’m Kate, founder of Little Silver Star Designs. My journey into jewellery began in 2009 on a trip to Tiznit, the jewellery capital of Morocco. I wandered into a tiny shop in the medina and felt something shift. I knew this was the path I wanted to follow. When I returned home, I bought a beginner’s bead kit and never looked back.
After studying Fashion and Textile Management at Nottingham Trent, I spent two years travelling, collecting beads and stones, and slowly shaping my craft. When my daughter arrived in 2014, I finally invested in the tools to move from beading into metalwork, and in 2014 Little Silver Star was born.
Today, I live in Bristol with my partner and our two children, creating playful, colourful fine jewellery inspired by nature, mythology, and the sky. I also teach workshops, welcoming others to begin their own creative journeys in jewellery.
