Bespoke Jewellery Process
1. Your Vision
You share what you’re imagining, the mood, the stones, the metals, the story behind it.
I only create bespoke pieces in my own design style, so while you’re welcome to send inspiration images, I don’t copy or recreate other jewellers’ work. Instead, I use your ideas to understand the feeling you love and translate that into a piece that’s uniquely yours.
This first stage is relaxed and exploratory, helping us shape a design that feels true to you and true to my craft.
2. Design and Quote
Once I understand your ideas, I’ll ask for your budget, this is important, as it helps me design within the right parameters and ensures the sketches or mock‑ups I create are realistic for what you want to spend.
Based on your vision and my design style, I’ll develop a few concepts for your piece. When we’ve settled on a direction you love, I’ll provide a clear quote before any work begins.
3. Price
Once we’ve agreed on the final design, I’ll confirm the full price of your bespoke piece. Payment is taken 100% upfront at this stage, this allows me to source materials and begin work straight away.
The price will depend on:
- the metal you choose (925 silver, gold, platinum, or palladium)
- any gemstones you’d like included
- the amount of time and craftsmanship involved
I’ll always be guided by your budget, and I’ll design with that in mind from the very beginning. If you’re unsure what to expect, you can browse similar pieces on my website, mixing and matching elements from existing designs is a great way to get a feel for the price range of what you have in mind.
4. Making your piece
Once payment is received, I begin crafting your jewellery in my Bristol studio. Every piece is made entirely by hand, using traditional techniques and a lot of care.
Lead times for bespoke work are 8–12 weeks, depending on the complexity of your design and the materials involved.
You’re always welcome to message me at any time, by email or WhatsApp, if you’d like an update or have any questions while your piece is being made.
5. Delivery
When your piece is finished, I’ll send you a photo or video so you can see it before it’s posted and make sure you’re happy with everything.
It will then be sent using the delivery method you chose at checkout. I send all jewellery by Royal Mail unless you request otherwise, and I highly recommend Special Delivery as it’s the safest and fastest option.
Your jewellery will be carefully packaged, ready to be worn or gifted. If you’re unhappy in any way, please get in touch. Although bespoke commissions are non‑refundable, I will always work with you to find a resolution wherever possible.
